Alright, I just have one quick observation this week. When going over the plan to remove the Omaticaya clan from Home Tree, corporate asshat Parker Selfridge mentions that “their damn village happens to be resting on the richest unobtanium deposit within 200 klicks in any direction.”
Offhand, that seems like it’s probably a pretty long distance. Until you realize that a klick is just military shorthand for a kilometer. So does that mean that there is an equally rich deposit just 125 miles away? If so, it really seems like it would have been prudent to just bypass the chunk of unobtanium under the tree and go for the next one. Right? I mean, the money you’d lose by going the extra distance would probably be saved by not having to fight a tree full of angry blue people. Maybe? Or did someone just throw “200 klicks” into the script without thinking about how short a distance it actually is? Actually, yeah. That’s the one I’m going to go with. Fuck it. Ugh.
